About Me
Hi, I'm Katherine!
I am a 2D animator based in Ottawa, Ontario. While I’ve always loved art, animation drew me in because there’s something profoundly magical about making drawings come to life, and who wouldn’t like to do magic for a living!
I’m a graduate from the Animation Program at Algonquin College where I learned cut-out and hand-drawn animation using ToonBoom Harmony. I am also comfortable with programs such as Autodesk Maya and Photoshop.
I have a fascination with character acting and greatly enjoy animating animals, but the thing that I love most is getting to work alongside other amazing artists. I’ve had the pleasure of working on short films such as Under the Surface and Dr. Greenthumb.
When I’m not animating, I enjoy reading cool books I find at the library, watching movies, knitting mittens, and playing badminton.

Rough Animator, Clean-up and Colour Artist – Under the Surface Short Film
January 2026 – Present
- Animated and inbetweened assigned shots.
- Cleaned rough animation and added final linework.
- Coloured cleaned-up animation.
2D Animator – Hyperventilation Short Film
September 2025 – March 2026
- Animated scenes using both a rig and hand-drawn animation.
- Followed the storyboard closely to capture the character’s emotions.
Mural Painter Volunteer – Friends of Pinhey Sand Dunes

- Helped lead a group of 10 painters in
creating a 6m x 2.5m mural to promote the
conservation of Pinhey Sand Dunes.
